Cathy Neifeld is Partner and General Counsel –with AgencyONE. She began her career in the life insurance industry in 2004 as the Director of Business Development and General Counsel for the Potomac Partners Group in Bethesda, Maryland. Potomac Partners Group was one of the nation’s premier insurance platforms offering premium financing solutions to insurance companies, investment banks and wealthy individuals.
In this role, Cathy evaluated all premium finance programs and specialty products and worked closely with international lending institutions, program developers/promoters, insurance agents and their clients, and advisors on all aspects of these transactions. In December 2009, Potomac Partners Group merged with AgencyONE to form an even more powerful wholesale life insurance brokerage arm. Cathy is a Partner at AgencyONE, serves as General Counsel, is instrumental in Business Development and Advanced Markets, and oversees all the combined retail and institutional financing relationships.
Cathy is a member of the Forum 400, Finseca (formerly AALU), and the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the New Jersey Bar. She served as Chairwoman of the Board of the Forum 400 in 2020 and President in 2019 – an organization that is limited to the top 400 life insurance professionals in the United States. Prior to serving as President, Cathy was the Vice President of the Forum 400, functioned as Chair for the 2018 Annual Meeting, served on the Finance Committee, the Study Group Committee and Co-Chaired the Membership Committee.
Cathy received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, practiced as a litigation attorney for 10 years, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Throughout Cathy’s career she has been a featured speaker at industry conferences and meetings.
